Klar til freelancelivet
Mick Anderson er uddannet fotojournalist fra Danmarks Journalisthøjskole og Morgenavisen Jyllands-Posten. Hovedopgaven blev lavet under borgerkrigen i Haiti i 2004, og umiddelbart efter startede Mick ud som fast fotograf for Polfoto, redaktør for Bådmagasinets hjemmeside og testsejler af både. Derudover var han med i opstarten af Urban i Aalborg, da gratisavis-krigen var på sit højeste.
Vandet blev hans skæbne
Mick har en baggrund som professionel sejler og træner, så det var helt naturligt at kombinere journalistikken og fotos til at rejse verden rundt som officiel fotograf for bl.a. det danske sejlerlandshold og korrespondent for Jyllands-Posten. For eksempel til OL i 2008, hvor billeder af Warrer/Kirketerps brækkede mast gik verden rundt.
